SCARLETT BIZARRE CROPPED

I am Scarlett Nymph – a DJ, performer, producer and founding member of Sedition Industries with my partner Brian. I am also branch director and head mistress of Dr. Sketchy’s Anti Art School Dublin branch.

The Dublin branch of internationally renown Dr Sketchy’s Anti Art School was established in May 2010. The monthly cabaret life drawing events outgrew a number of venues before finding a permanent home in 4 Dame Lane. In April 2012, a session was filmed for inclusion in Sky Atlantic’s documentary travel series ‘Urban Secrets’ and I was interviewed by actor Alan Cumming.

Dr Sketchy’s has been a feature of Culture Night in Dublin city in 2010, 2011 and 2012. In 2011 and 2012, I collaborated with aerial performance group PaperDolls on a number of special events, and in 2012 I programmed Dr Sketchy events for boutique festival ‘Castlepalooza’ and for Dublin Pride.

Along with taking up regular DJ slots at Sedition Industries events and at Dr. Sketchy’s Dublin sessions, I have filled the dance-floors of some of London’s biggest venues at Bizarre Magazine’s Bizarre Balls in 2009, 2010 & 2011. I have DJed at Dublin clubs Nimhneach, Club Hysteria, at the launch of Dublin Lesbian Arts Festival 2009 (D’LAF), at R.I.P – Rock.Indie.Pop and during 2009 and 2010 I was a member of alternative cabaret troupe The Pony Girls, co-producing, performing and DJing at the shows.

Starting out as Resident DJ at ‘Strand Street Cabaret’ at Foam Cafe from September to January 2012, I also co-produced the re-branded ‘Strand Street Supperclub’ in June and September 2012.

Sedition Industries was established in 2010 and fuses live music, alternative performance and a club atmosphere, featuring diverse acts such as pioneer of electronic music Gary Numan, cyber-punk band Angelspit, rising star Viktoria Modesta and cult comic book creator, singer/ performer Voltaire.

“This red-hot Dublin-based diva is about to bring a serious amount of ‘crunch’ into your life.” – Bizarre Magazine
