I am launching a series of workshops focused on how to create a web presence and becoming confident with online tools and social media.
Our first session will be a one-day workshop on Sunday 21st April in the Westgrove Hotel in Clane. It will run from 10am to 4pm with a break for lunch.
Below is an overview of the workshop and the expected outcomes. The class size will be small to allow you to ask questions and engage in discussion.

A One-Day Workshop focused on de-mystifying the Internet and providing you with the tools and information to start putting your business online.
For people who don’t consider themselves technically proficient the idea of putting their business online can be extremely daunting. Many people either avoid it altogether or commission -a website that in no way reflects their business and personality or set up social media profiles then abandon them to gather dust.
Creating a web presence can be straightforward and by following certain steps and asking the right questions, it need not be terrifying. In fact, with so many incredible tools available online, creating a web presence can be a creative exercise rather than a technical one!
During the one day workshop we will cover the following areas:
- Why is it important to have an online presence?
- What type of information should I have online?
- Setting up, utilising and getting the most from social media websites.
- Developing a brand identity online that reflects your business.
- What should you look for in a web developer/ Questions you should ask when commissioning a website.
- Some online tools that will help the creative process.
Outcomes:
- Begin to think about your branding and your voice online.
- Start using social media to grow your business and interact with the world online.
- Understanding the importance of having an online presence that is a true reflection of yourself and your business.
- At the end of the day, you should leave with an understanding of why some websites ‘work’ and some don’t.
